EEL GARDEN

Eel Garden got the name because of the huge population of Garden Eels and it is a “must dive” when you are in Dahab.

Guidelines

Better when it is high tide and calm sea conditions.
Possible strong current by the exit.
Best between midday and afternoon.
The Eels are very shy so take a slow approach.

From Dive Center: 400 meters – 6 Min. walking.
From Dahab Chamber: 4 Km. – 5 Min.

EEL GARDEN

Plan your dive here at high tide and calm sea conditions as there is a surface swim of approx 60 meters to start the dive.

Descend to a small lagoon 2-3 meters deep from where we head north to a vast slope covered by light sand with hundreds of shy garden eels coming out of it waving with the water movement.

We take a big tour around this huge sandy slope and on the way back with the reef on the right hand side we should be able to see one of the most stunning shallow reefs and marine life around, thanks to the shallow water and the sunlight through it..
