Shore diving in Dahab at it’s best!

The simplicity and laid back feeling of walking a few meters from a cozy restaurant, and entering the sea for a shore dive is one of the highlights of diving in the coastal town of Dahab.

A few fin kicks off shore you might find yourself diving on a beautiful reef wall, which reaches depths unimaginable or exploring coral gardens the next day. The Red Sea is a name that is synonymous with scuba divers for many reasons, among which is the stunning marine life one day and the many dive sites that offer a different experience.

Are you traveling with non-diving family or friends? Then Dahab & shore diving is the perfect match, they can join you to the different dive sites for snorkeling or if that doesn’t interest them, you can be finished your diving day before lunchtime and then have the rest of the day with them.

The majority of dive sites in Dahab are accessible by shore, including the world famous Blue Hole and Canyon. And it is good to know that the shore diving in Dahab has something for everyone to enjoy! From coral gardens and pretty shallow dives to drop offs and caves.

How do you get to the dive sites?

We provide transportation with our cars (jeeps and double-cabin vehicles) to every shore site in Dahab, the furthest location being only 25 minutes by car. It doesn’t stop there!

What do we do between dives?

Simply rest and chill before the second dive in a welcoming Bedouin restaurant by the beach, you can sip fresh juice or enjoy a delicious savory meal.

And what about shore night dives?

The top dive site in Dahab for a phenomenal night dive is the famous Lighthouse. The best part? It’s located few minutes away from the dive center.

Amazing diving, and a cultural experience with the Bedouin

It is a diving trip for which we use Camels as transport to either Gabr el Bint or Ras abu Galoum National park, only accessible by camel or boat.

A fantastic way to experience Sinai’s authentic diving, meet the Bedouin, feel the desert and get to explore untouched and remote dive spots.

The nice thing about the Camel Diving Safari that it can be done in one day, overnight, or for several days, You just need to decide how much fun you want to have !

Camel Diving Safari (1 day incl. Camel rides, 2 dives, Bedouin lunch)

Here is how it happens:

Day before departure receive a full briefing – timings, what to bring, what to expect etc.
With your guide leave early morning (6-7am) by jeeps to the Blue Hole (north of Dahab) or Caves (South of Dahab) meet the camels there (tell your guide if you need to polish up your camel riding skills!)
Then the adventure truly starts, at camel pace set off for your diving destination – be it Ras Abu Galum or Gabr El Bint. And enjoy the magnificent scenery of the mountains meeting the sea.
On arrival, relax with some Bedouin tea whilst listening to your dive briefing and then head to the sea for your first dive.
Based on the decision you make with your guide, you can either a fresh Bedouin lunch before the second dive – giving you plenty of time to chill out after your first dive or have the Bedouin lunch after the second dive and enjoy your time there after that.
After the day is done, it is back by camel to either the Blue Hole or Caves & jeep back to Dahab.

Definitely a unique experience and one you are not likely to get anywhere else in the world!
